Un verbo en
pasado en inglés se traduce por el Pretérito Imperfecto (hablaba, bebía, vivía)
y Pretérito Perfecto (hablé, bebí, viví) del Modo Indicativo.

Para hacer el
pasado simple de los verbos en ingles hay que tener en cuenta si el verbo es
REGULAR o IRREGULAR
-
LOS VERBOS
IRREGULARES están en una lista donde aparecen en INFINITIVO-PASADO-PARTICIPIO y
normalmente su traducción. Esta lista hay que aprenderla poco a poco.

LOS VERBOS
REGULARES son todos lo que no están esta lista y su pasado se forma añadiendo
ED al infinitivo (sin TO)
Ej: TO COOK=cocinar PASADO: COOKED
YOU COOKED = Tu
cocinabas o cocinaste
HE COOKED = El
cocinaba o cocinó
SHE COOKED = Ella
cocinaba o cocinó
IT COOKED = neutro

hacer la FI y FN
de los verbos en pasado, al igual que en presente tenemos que ayudarnos de un
auxiliar: DID (el pasado de DO/DOES que utilizamos para la FI y FN del Presente)

EL PASADO DE
LOS VERBOS IRREGULARES EN FA-FI-FN

Se traducen, al
igual que los regulares por el Pretérito Imperfecto y Pretérito Perfecto del
Modo Indicativo.

Para hacer el
pasado de LOS VERBOS IRREGULARES en FORMA AFIRMATIVA, hay que poner el verbo en
su forma de pasado que viene en la segunda columna de la lista de VERBOS
IRREGULARES.
-
Para hacer la FORMA INTERROGATIVA
y NEGATIVA, se hace lo mismo que para los VERBOS REGULARES, es decir se utiliza
el auxiliar DO en pasado DID y el verbo se pone en infinitivo sin TO.
